During the show, Brad Kane and Lea Salonga performed "A Whole New World" live. In the film, Brad portrayed the singing voice of Aladdin; Lea, the singing voice of Jasmine. Accompanying them was Alan Menken, who wrote the music for the movie.

Simply breathtaking, right? I absolutely love imagining that Aladdin and Jasmine are still singing this maybe a few decades after the film takes place, just based on how Brad and Lea's voices have matured.

But perhaps the best part of the whole show was the brief glimpse of the outtakes from Robin Williams' voice recording sessions for the Genie. Robin's absence isn't overlooked, with people around the world still honoring one of comedy's funniest men after his suicide last year.

RIP Robin Williams: A Tribute

Robin Williams, who died of an apparent suicide at age 63 last night, was a well-loved and talented man.  Once the news broke, tributes filled the Internet – tributes from Hollywood celebrities to regular people – all who were touched by the incredible actor.

To Disney fans, Robin Williams is best known as the Genie from Aladdin.

We ain't never had a friend like him.

I have collected several of these tributes – the ones I believe are the most touching.  I have always loved Robin Williams and his gift for making others laugh, so hearing about his death broke my heart.

Who’s the Hottest Disney Prince?

Or maybe just the cutest….

A college friend just two doors down from my dorm always has a fun poll on her whiteboard by her door.  One day it happened to be on the Disney Princes.

Who would you vote for?

And who did I vote for?  Guess.

Wondering who that is in the bottom right corner?  I accidentally spelled his name wrong but he’s this guy.
