The Seven Dwarf Mine Train!

These past few days have been very important for New Fantasyland.  The media was invited to a special event to cover the Seven Dwarf Mine Train, during which there was a special dedication as well as chances to ride the new attraction.

At the dedication ceremony, it was announced the official opening  will be May 28th this year.

Meaning, it’ll be open by the time I go!

Until then, there may be a few soft openings.

Inside the Magic posted this video of the dedication.

Both videos from YouTube.

Of course, I had to interview my very own Seven Dwarfs to see what there thoughts were on the newest attraction in New Fantasyland…and here’s what they said!

The Disney Freak’s Blog original video. And yes, they are speaking Japanese. Totally legit Japanese.

Translation, anyone?

First Look: Seven Dwarfs Animatronics!

Disney is hurriedly preparing for the opening of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster in New Fantasyland.  Now, they have unveiled the impressive animatronics of the Seven Dwarfs in this great video!

Video from YouTube.

Personally, this blows me away.  These are some of the most impressive and advanced animatronics Disney has yet created.  It’s simply incredible how fluidly the characters’ facial expressions are!

The Seven Dwarfs have popped right out of the film into real life!

SWSA Tribute in Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Back in December, Disney Imagineers placed a piece from Snow White’s Scary Adventures into the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  If you're unaware, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is replacing Snow White’s Scary Adventures.

These vultures originally appeared in the old ride.

Both images from the Disney Parks Blog post.

Personally, I believe there was probably enough room to keep the old ride AND build the new one, but it’s much too late for that.

Oh well.  In the mean time, I definitely appreciate this clever nod to Snow White’s Scary Adventures.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is scheduled to open some time this year. Book your Walt Disney World trips now with Destinations in Florida* so you can experience this new ride yourself!  CLICK HERE to book!

See you all real soon!

***UPDATE***

Disney Legend Dave Smith confirmed to D23 that the vultures and crane appear at the entrance of the ride. Look for them on your next visit!

I missed these guys when I visited because when I rode, it was 1 a.m.!
