'Kimbra's Wish' Masterfully and Beautifully Pays Homage to Classic Disney Song

I absolutely love featuring creative talent by my fellow Disney fans. Which is exactly why I got excited upon receiving this tweet:

Adam is a visual effects artist, who has even worked on Coraline (Tim Burton fans, get excited!). He sent me "Kimbra's Wish," a Disney tribute he made with New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra.

What I absolutely love about this video is the rotoscoping. As a classic animation fan, rotoscoping is one of my favorite things. Keeping the original and beautiful animation from the film and combining it with a rotoscoped version of Kimbra results in a magical music video!

If you like music, you'll enjoy this. If you like animation, you'll enjoy this. So give it a watch below!

Kimbra's Wish (A Disney Tribute) from Adam C Sager on Vimeo.

Kimbra's take on the music is so unique, which is what makes this video stand out! It reminded me of "Wishery" by Pogo (who actually tweeted about "Kimbra's Wish"). Her voice and remix has a spellbinding and darker undertone, which took me a few listens before I could really appreciate it.

If you aren't super familiar with the original song from the classic film, here's a video for comparison. Many of Kimbra's facial expressions and gestures are exactly like Snow's!

And for even more magic, check out this behind-the-scenes video.

More behind-the-scenes footage can be found at Adam's Instagram.

DCONSTRUCTED: Main Street Electrical Parade

Earlier this year, Disney released DCOSTRUCTED, an entire album full of Disney songs remixed by some of the most popular D.J.'s these days.

Accompanying music videos have also been released.  Here is the one for the remix of the Main Street Electrical Parade.

Video from YouTube.

In my opinion, the remix is only so-so, but the music video is really cool! I love the blurred look on the edges of some shots, and how some of the characters vanish into pixels.

"Let it Go" Exclusive Dance Remixes

So awhile back, this anonymous confession showed up at Walt Disney Confessions...

Image from waltdisneyconfessions.tumblrcom

...and I just laughed.

I mean, seriously?

Of course Disney is aware!  "Let it Go" has been blowing up pop culture, from covers to memes!

(Why do you think I've posted so much about it?  Because it's everywhere!)

And who's making money off of it?

Disney.

Anyway, now they've debuted three dance remixes of "Let it Go," which you can listen to below.

Papercha$er Remix

Billboard.com debuted this catchy remix.  I personally think while it's okay, it could have been better.

Dave Aude Remix

Time.com debuted this addictive remix.  Out of the three, I found this one to be best -- I actually got up and danced along in the lab!  (#noshame)

DJ Escape & Tony Coluccio Remix

And the final remix debuted on idolator.com.  I don't like this one at all -- after the first few minutes, I tuned it out to background noise.

Which remix did you like best?  Or, none at all?  Honestly, I didn't like any of them that much (but I understand the concept); but of the three, Dave Aude's version was the best.
