Oh, Please...

Sorry for the lack of a creative title.  Usually I'm good at those.  But today + what I'm writing about + someone certain = not a very good mood.

Hey, that was kind of creative.

Another day at piano.  And another time looking through the pages of TIME Magazine.  (Ooh, that was creative there too!)

The article's title?  "10 Questions for Angelina Jolie" by Belinda Luscombe.

Yay.

I admit that Jolie is a talented actress, though I really haven't seen many of her movies.  All I can think of right now is Kung Fu Panda.  And that was just voice acting.

My parents have seen The Tourist and love it (at least, MMM does).  So I'm guessing she's great in that too.

However, there are some roles that certain actress should not play.

More after the jump....

(Note: that was my first time using a jump break.  Like it?)

Out of this entire interview, only one question caught my eye.  Well actually it was the answer.  (And I was looking for it.)

Luscombe asked Jolie if it was true that the next thing on Jolie's list was to get married to Brad Pitt.

Jolie replied:

My next project is a Disney movie, and I'm playing a villain.  I get to tell a great story, but I also get to wear giant horns.

(Luscombe, Belinda.  "10 Questions for Angelina Jolie."  Time Magazine. April 9, 2012 Issue.)

What is she referring to?

The upcoming Maleficent movie (slotted for release in 2014).

I'm not quite sure what
this is.  Movie poster?
Picture from the
Disney Wiki.

Now, I realize I promised all of you a post about why I really dislike this movie.  I will get to that eventually!  (However, I did leave a comment discussing one of my reasons in the linked post.)

I promise once more I'll get around to it.  First, let's discuss this interview.

Why, Jolie, didn't you just say straight out that you're playing Maleficent?  Pretty much every Disney fan already knows.  Is it really still a "secret"?

Especially since the issue date for the magazine was just yesterday!  So I'm pretty sure the beans have already been spilled.

I mean, the director has already been announced.  And according to the Disney Wiki, Elle Fanning will play Aurora (and I'm not sure how I stand on that presently).

Okay, I said let's only discuss the interview.  Sigh.  Well I really have nothing else to say that's really about just the interview instead of the movie overall.

So time to create a post for the movie.  I always keep my promises.

Check back soon.

And by the way, congratulations Jolie that you get to wear horns.

  1. I heard about this too! I've seen her in quite a few of her movies. She's actually pretty good. The tourist was a good movie for the most part (def helped the Johnny Depp was in it). I think she can pull off a sinister antagonist like Maleficent. I'm assuming it's going to be based on a time when Aurora was much younger, since Elle Fanning is still young as well. It'd be interesting to see!

Personally the movie I'm NOT looking forward to is "Snow White and the Huntsman." Kristen Stewart....ugh. Don't get me started. She's supposed to be "the fairest one of all"? That's a joke. The actress playing the evil queen is gorgeous. I don't know. I just think Kristen is just too awkward and average to play someone like Snow White. I saw "Mirror Mirror" and it was very entertaining.

  2. It's more about the character of Maleficent that I'm woried about. Angelina may be great, but I feel like she doesn't deserve the role honestly because Maleficent is soo cool.

Anyway, I think that SWatH looks good WITHOUT Kirsten. I liked the queen turning into a bunch of crows.

You did??!! Awesome! I really want to see it. Do you recommend it?

    1. My biggest worry about SWatH is that it's trying too hard. The preview reminds me of "Red Riding Hood." If you saw that.....I thought it was terrible. Trying way too hard to make a classic fairytale dark and different. That's just my opinion though.

Yes I do recommend it! It's got some great sarcastic humor which I appreciated, and it helped that Prince Charming was Armie Hammer...very attractive ;)

    2. I didn't see "Red Riding Hood," but I understand what you mean.
Well, then I guess I'm going to have to go see it soon! ;)

    3. (I really like villains, actually. So I'm really looking forward to the queen I suppose. Not anything else ;) )

    4. (The queen from SWatH, that is! I'm looking forward to everything in Mirror Mirror. I didn't get around to do posts on those...)

    5. Haha yes, the queen looks super BA in SWatH. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed in that one :) And Julia Roberts is just marvelous at everything she does. So there's no disappointment there. Let me know when you see it!!

  3. I heard about Ms. Jolie playing Maleficent. I'm not sure I really had an opinion, haha. I think I'm just happy that she'll be in a movie that her children can see.

    :)

    1. Hey Riya! Thanks for the follow!
As I said, I admit that Jolie is a great actress, and she may even prove me wrong! Eleanor Audley, Maleficent's voice actress, would do the part perfectly ;) Too bad she's dead.
I suppose I should keep my chin up; I'm just a worrier I guess. ;) I'm still planning to see it when it comes out.
What do you all think of Elle Fanning? I'm pretty sure this will be taking place in the "gap"--between her birth and her sixteen birthday. At least, the main part of the movie.
New follower for you as well, Riya!! Again, thanks for stopping by!
